Key-bindings: KeyTouch and LinEAK

Most desktop environments let the user map actions to special keys. Usually not all keyboards are supported and there's when keymapping programs like KeyTouch or LinEAK comes handy. These programs have in common that they let you map your multimedia buttons to ReMoot (or any other program/action). There are other programs that let you map actions to keys (Xbindkeys for example) but here we explain two of them:

Keytouch

KeyTouch is a nice program with a GUI that have support for a lots of keyboards and a simple and straight-forward
interface. Download KeyTouch from your distro repositories or Sourceforge. To set your keyboard, follow
KeyTouch's instructions. Then open the "key settings" tab and map for example playpause button to "remoot playpause". See the screenshot below.

LinEAK

LinEAK or KlinEAK (KDE-frontend) is a good keymapping program as well. Install it from your repositories
or Sourceforge. Follow the installation instructions for LInEAK and set your keyboard brand. Map ReMoot to your keyboards special keys. See screenshoot below.
